HOW TO GET INVOLVED

On-going Letter Writing Campaign to your assembly person.
By the first of next week your PFT Rep will have stuffed four self-addressed stamped envelopes in your mail box. Please go to www.NinthDistrictPTA.org for a list of assembly persons and their contact information.


Here's what I know about your colleagues:
  • Teachers have offered to spend their weekend faxing your letters.
  • Teachers have given their students a business letter writing assignment using this information.
  • Teachers have passed on this information to their personal email trees - we've got chain letters going on :)
  • Our PTA is distributing letters at all school and recreational events in Poway.
  • The PTA is willing to come to your site (works well at a high school), set up a table with letters and volunteers to help get the word out. 
  • How can you spread the word?
 
Budget Crisis Flyer:
I have attached a "revised" sample flyer from Midland Elementary if your site wants to create their own personal school flyer. I am also attaching a general PUSD flyer for any teacher to distribute. If you want copies, please contact me with the number of flyers needed.

Here's what I know about your colleagues:
  • Teachers and clerical staff are walking their neighborhood and handing out the flyers.
  • Teachers and students are establishing time before and after school to distribute flyers to parents as they pick up and drop off their children.
  • Teachers are going to distribute flyers during the Student 12K for K12 Walk this Saturday, March 29th.
  • What other ideas do you have to inform the public?
